Robotics Surgery

It is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is performed using a flexible, thin tube known as Laparoscope with a full HD camera on its tip. A surgeon makes a few small incisions in the affected area in a patient’s body to perform the surgery. The laparoscope is inserted through the incision which projects the clear view of the affected part on the monitor, helping doctors to perform surgeries more precisely using small instruments or robotic arms.

Robotics is also used for many urological cases related to adrenal, bladder, kidney, testis, and prostate. We follow a multidisciplinary approach to perform the most comprehensive services under the following sub-disciplines:

  • Uro-Oncology Surgeries
  • Gynaec-Urology Surgeries
  • Andrology Surgeries
  • Reconstructive Urology Surgeries
  • Endourology

All the surgeries are performed under the effect of anaesthesia in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art operating room. The depth of knowledge of specialists and cutting-edge diagnostic facilities allow our team of experts to perform all kinds of urological surgeries with the help of laparoscopy to ensure great precision for improved patient outcomes.

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital is amongst the best in the country with dedicated birthing suites equipped with telemetric foetal monitors to follow the progress of labour and provide a facility for painless delivery. The department has dedicated operating rooms for caesarean section in the same complex.

The department also offers Laparoscopic surgery for removal of the tumours and cysts through key-hole incisions including high-end surgical solutions for management of complex disorders like Double Uterus, Intra-uterine Fibroids and Adhesions, without incision or stitches. Super specialists in the fields of laparoscopic gynaecology and foetal medicine routinely perform intra-uterine foetal procedures, such as Correctional Surgeries and Foetal Reduction. MR-guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery is a non-invasive, outpatient procedure which uses High

Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) waves to treat lesions inside the body without surgery or operation. MRgFUS machine consists of a combination of an MRI scanner and HIFU transducer. MRI is able to accurately localise the lesion and guide the HIFU beam that destroys the target tissue safely and accurately. The MRI scanner allows 3D visualisation of the lesion and this allows the doctor to pinpoint, guide and continuously monitor the treatment.
